Artist's Description
Autumn Moon Lake is from a series of images made by artist, Maria Huntley. This series consists of updated digitally modified versions of abstract paintings on canvas that were textured with cardboard much like the reliefs of collograph printing plates. The actual painting on canvas once being digitally modified has gone on to be used as a collograph printing plate to create large prints. This series is inspired by aerial landscapes and nature.
About Maria Huntley
Maria Huntley is an artist who employs a wide range of expression. Maria was born in Germany and came to the United States as a child. Having lived many summers of her youth in Europe gave her an understanding of different cultural perspectives and informs the universal themes of her art. The textures, color and aesthetic of time worn places she has experienced as a world traveler is seen in the layers, structure and textures of her work.
